Welcome to Elsworthy Farm

A family hill farm at the door of Exmoor National Park which started in 2005 with traditional and very friendly English Longhorns.
A great place to discover a different way of farming with animals, during your visit on Exmoor.

An educational place to learn about regenerative farming and cattle whispering

Climate issues have taken the world by storm, but here regeneration has taken on a gentle life of its own: hedges are looking a little less geometrical, fields go back to medieval times with their funny shapes cut out of the original dense Exmoor forest. Today, soil structure and organic matter have become once again a focus of holistic and healthy farming.

The investment on this farm is of a different kind: long term, it’s in the soil and improvements to permanent pastures, and short term it’s in the welfare of our cattle and their families.

100% grass-fed meat

Our cattle are a native breed, the English longhorn, 100% pasture-reared and grass-fed for their whole lives, slowly grown until they naturally reach maturity.

Farming in harmony with nature helps achieve excellent taste, texture and higher level of vitamins and minerals in the meat; what is today defined as a nutrient-dense food.
